Spring, the start of our season, was glorious. The summer has started beautifully sunny and we can only hope that the rest of the year continues this trend of weather perfection. The camelias and hyacinths have bloomed. The pansies brighten our balcony and the roses are have burst forth. The rondine (swallows) have returned and all of the birds are singing from morning to night. Yes, all seems right with the world, in our little corner of Toscana.
2015 is looking good for the tourist pocketbook, too. The dollar is buying euros at a rate not seen in more than a decade. So even if airfares are slightly higher this year, you'll make up for it in the money you save on meals, accommodations, and, of course, purses, cheeses, wine, etc.
As always, each weekend brings a sagra or festival. Borgo a Mozzano recently held a “My Flower” festival. And Coreglia Antelminelli will celebrate the chestnut with a sagra of the neccio, the classic pancake made with chestnut flour.
Lucca Summer Festival for 2015 will also be exceptional. Bob Dylan, Elton John, John Legend, and Robbie Williams are just a few of the incredible acts that will be performing in Piazzale Napoleone this July.
We are proud that Casa La Pace also is attracting more guests than ever before. This year's calendar has more reservations than at the same time last year; September and October are almost fully booked already!
Casa La Pace is proud to have received for the fourth consecutive year a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.
We look forward to sharing with you our little corner of Tuscany.

"Casa La Pace is a wonderful B&B experience. I say experience because it is so much more than a well fitted out, clean, comfortable place to stay with a delicious breakfast. The owners Rusty and Pepper make the experience and gave us a level of service and a personal touch that we have not encountered in 7+ years of travel. " ..ReviewedByMike, England
