Spring has officially arrived and in the Valle del Serchio, spring is ‘bursting out’ all over.
The COVID-19 pandemic seems really and truly behind us. There’s a cautious optimism in the air and we are optimistic, too. We already have many reservations on the books between now and November with what promises to be a continued return to normal.
Easter came early this year and with it the arrival of the first waves of tourists. The big cities are jam-packed with school groups and clumps of cruise ship excursions. Meanwhile, our part of Toscana follows the cycle of the seasons: backyard gardens are newly-tilled, fruit trees are in full bloom and the Borgo a Mozzano ‘Festa delle Azalee’ makes its bi-annual return.
The rains have been plentiful in winter, so we are looking forward to a bountiful summer and autumn. June marks our 14th year in Ghivizzano and 13 years that we have been welcoming guests to Casa La Pace. We hope to welcome you, whether for the first time or the fifth, in 2024.
